Letters written by Marian (Hooper) Adams to her father, Robert William Hooper while traveling in Europe and living in Washington, D.C., 1872-83; and her friend Anne Palmer Fells, 1879-85. Also includes a few letters written by Henry Adams to his father-in-law Robert; a bound volume containing lists of Marian Hooper's photographs, 1883; bound volume containing watercolors, possibly drawn by John La Farge, 1870; and correspondence and research notes of Marian's niece, Louisa Hooper Thoron (Mrs. Ward Thoron), 1912-67. Includes typed transcripts of letters.
